Masturbation is not a feature of Bipolar or Depressive Disorder. However one may exhibit hypersexual behaviour and engage in dangerous sexual activities during the hypomanic or manic phase of Bipolar Disorder.

When one is depressed, the person usually complains of poor concentration and attention e.g. he/she may forget to pay for items and walks out of the store. During the hypomanic/manic phase of Bipolar Disorder, the person may also engage in impulsive activites such as investing money without due consideration.

Stealing is a deliberate act. It is not common for bipolar or depressed patients to steal money to buy things.
