What is the symptoms of the addictions?

I am scared as I suspect that I am addicted to Stilnox and/or alcohol. What can do to know if I am? What should I do if I am really addicted to them?

Answer from DepNet

Hi,

Substance addiction/dependence is common for diazepam (Valium) and alcohol, and had been reported for other sleeping pills such as zolpidem (Stilnox) as well. Characteristics of getting addicted to these substances may include impaired control over the use of these substances, carving, complusive and continuous use despite the harmful/negative physical, social, legal or psychological consequences. Dependence to these substances is manifested by specifc withdrawal syndromes caused by abruptly stopping or rapidly reducing the doses. Various withdrawal symptoms can range from anxiety and insomnia to severe mental state changes and other dangerous medical emergencies such as seizures. For these reasons, if you suspect that you're having a problem with using these substances, it is highly recommended for you to at least visit a physician (or preferably see a psychiatrist) to assess your history and pattern of using these substances and supporting you with medical advice and treatment to manage these issues more comprehensively.

Regards,

Depnet
