SINGAPORE: The body looking into governance of charities in Singapore has launched its official logo.
The Charity Council said it hopes the symbol of a butterfly, which heralds the signs of new life, will bring about renewed public confidence in the charity sector.
The butterfly logo was selected from 20 entries submitted by students from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in a competition held from May to June this year.
The Charity Council was set up in October 2006 to promote a culture of good governance and self-regulation in the charity sector. It is also an adviser to the Commissioner of Charities.
