Debate forum:  Depression

Is Love equals to Respect and vice versa?

Written by nw4m Feb 2 2007 12:09 PM

How is this related to depression, you ask?

Well, the simple answer is love and respect can soothe or clear away anger and mistrust.

So, just drop by to say a few words about your thoughts, depnet people.

It's kinda quiet here.

Furthermore, a debate, if conducted properly with a clear and sincere purpose of facilitating mutual understanding and respect, it will help to spread such positive values slowly among each and every one of us, and then to our families, friends and eventually all who comes into contact with us.

I hope all future debates can be conducted with this spirit and purpose in mind.

We can start to be one of those who believe in contributing to making the world around us a better place to live and play.

If only the mind and spirit is firm and willing.

Finally one person responded to my debate headline.

Thanks, asylum.

I'm glad to hear that you are able to overcome your fears in the past.

I don't know whether it's idealism, but I know that without love and respect, things will pretty much stay the same throughout the world.

Constant bickering, fingerpointing, corruption, indifference to environmental protection and conservation and so on...

If every positive and crucial step is to be regarded as idealism or perfectionalism, then I think human beings would not be able survive beyond the 21st century.

Hey god didn't promise us it will all be good in this world but he did say paradise will be.

Sounding kinda smart.

Actually I notice ppl here sound kinda smart n intelligent. I notice alot of bright minds here. I do begin to wonder if we happen to think too much or have the capacity to think, wonder n ponder deeply abt many issues, like many great thinkers... n somehow just end up... err anxious n depressed n afflicted w strong emotions n thoughts? I guess it is hard to be passionate in a positive way n not get depressed when somethings r indeed disturbing? Hmmm.
